Learning for life & work
This is a two year GCSE course where you will be assessed on FOUR modules – this means you will not have to sit final examinations at the end of two years. There are three modules which are taught and tested at the end of each module.

- Modules 1 – 3 which are externally tested form 45% of the total marks and module 4 makes up the other 55%.
- There is only one single tier of entry and this allows you to gain the range of A* to G grades.
Course aims
This course aims to help you to develop as contributors to society, the economy and the environment. There are strong links with courses in government and politics, home economics, health and social care and travel and tourism.
• You will be given opportunities to real life situations and scenarios and to express your own values and attitudes concerning human rights, social and economic responsibilities.
To develop an appreciation of the needs and perspectives of others, as well as developing skills, knowledge and attitudes for life long learning and work.
